She, therefore, resorted to buying fabric, getting it stitched from a tailor, and on occasion, getting it embroidered by a skilled person. Soon, she realised the potential of this space to create a social enterprise. Thus, she started Tara Baby Shop, a one-stop shop for all things baby essentials that are hand stitched.

Tara’s products are not machine-made. Rather, it is hand-embroidered by local women in villages across Kerala. What Tara does is facilitate women who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to work and earn a living.
